FPV Fiber Optic Reel for Tethered Drone Systems

Our FPV Fiber Optic Reel is a lightweight, reusable ABS/PP (customizable) cable spool designed for tethered FPV and UAV communication. It pays out and recovers ultra-thin optical fiber (0.23–0.26 mm) between the drone and the ground station, keeping a stable optical data link from 1 km up to 60 km.

Unlike traditional RF wireless links that suffer from signal fading, EMI, and bandwidth limits at long range, a fiber tether delivers a reliable, low-latency video and control channel. This makes it ideal for long-range inspection, aerial mapping, emergency response, security patrols, and infrastructure monitoring.
